James A. Beckwith, O.D.

Dr. Beckwith received his bachelors degree in biology from the University of San Diego in 1984 and his Doctory of Optometry (OD) degree from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1988. He received hands-on training in externship programs at the Los Angeles Veterans Administration Hospital, the Santa Monica Center for the Partially Sighted, Norton Air Force Base, and Nellis Air Force Base. He opened his private practice in Las Vegas in 1990. He is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He is a member of The American Optometric Association, and the past President of the Nevada Optometric Association.

Mark R. Lee, O.D.

Dr. Lee grew up on a cattle ranch in south eastern Washington. He received his B.S. in agricultural economics from Washington State University in 1996, and his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from Pacific University in 2000. He received hands on clinical training at Golden Vision Center, Nellis Air Force base, and Pacific University extern clinics. Dr. Lee has practiced in Las Vegas since 2000, and he opened his private practice in 2004. He is Board Certified in the Treatment and Management of Ocular Disease. Dr. Lee is actively involved in the American Optometric Association (AOA), he currently is chair of the NV third party committee and a member of the AOA eye care benefits committee.

As an avid rock climber, Dr. Lee spends his days off scaling the cliffs at nearby Red Rocks and Mt. Charleston. He also enjoys his days outside with his wife Sasha and his two dogs Zoey and Kayle.

	Alissa D. Nagel, O.D., F.A.A.O. Dr. Nagel is a native of Las Vegas and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she received her bachelor's degree in biology. She then moved to California to attend Southern California College of Optometry. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree in 2007 and then returned to Las Vegas, where she completed her ocular disease residency at the VA Southern Nevada in Las Vegas. She practices primary care optometry, treatment and management of ocular diseases, low vision optometry and provides ocular prosthetic services. Dr. Nagel is an assistant professor with the Southern California College of Optometry teaching low vision optometry to a new generation of optometrist. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of Women of Vision, American Academy of Optometry, the Nevada Optometric Association, and Foundation Fighting Blindness.


	Support Staff

	Sasha - Office Manager Sasha has 12 years of experience in eye care and has been working with us for the past 4 1/2 years. Sasha is originally from Louisiana and enjoys working with patients and was awarded an Excellence in Customer Service Award from the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. Sasha is our office manager and insurance expert. She keeps our office running smooth.
	Melissa - Receptionist Melissa has been working with us for the past four years. She is originally from Leavenworth, Kansas. Melissa keeps everyone organized up at the front and does a fabulous job of greeting our patients with a smile.
	Alex- Receptionist Alex joined our office after having worked for several years in a physical therapy office. She is originally from Crecent City, CA. Alex spends her time outside the office taking classes at CSN, snowboading, playing with her French bulldog Tyson. She is a great asset to our team and is quickly learning all about optometry.
	Sonia - Receptionist and Pre-Testing Technician Sonia is orignally from Long Beach, CA. Sonia has been living in the Silver State for the past five years. She has worked in optometry and opthalmology fields for the past thirteen years and enjoys speding time with her beautiful family when she is not in the office. Sonia always brings a great attitude and positive energy with her to work every day.
	Victoria - Pre-Testing Technician Victoria is a native of Las Vegas. She attended the Nevada Career Institute and graduated from their Medical Assisting program. She has two years of experience in the medical field. Victoria helps to gather important information the doctor will analyze during your eye exam.
	Darling- Pre-Testing Technician Darling is originally from Florida and has worked in the eye care industry since 2007. She has had many roles from dispensing glasses to preliminary testing. Darling enjoys helping and interacting with our patients and she is fluent in both English and Spanish.
	Cherrelle - Pre-Testing Technician Cherrelle joins us from Fairbanks, Alaska. She has worked in the opical field for the past year and a half and enjoys getting to know each patient as she guides them through the pre-testing process. She plans on pursuing higher education to assist her in her optical career. Cherrelle is a certified para optometric.
	Mark - Optical Manager Mark has been assisting patients in the optical department for the past 10 years. He joined our team in September of 2012 and really enjoy helping our patients look the best they can in just the right pair of glasses. He also keeps our office on the cutting edge of new techology in lens and frame design.
	Stephanie - Optician Stephanie has 19 years of optical experience and we are lucky to have had her here at our office for the past seven years. She was born in Indiana but called California her home for most of her life. Stephanie enjoys helping patients in selecting their glasses and to find the best eye wear for their visual needs.
	Teresa - Optician Teresa is originally from Michigan and has been in eye care for 20 years. She joined our office 5 years ago and her favorite thing about her job is helping patients and working with her co-workers. Currently Teresa is currently working towards her optical certification.
	Regan - Optician Regan is originally from Carson, California and has been an optician for the past six years. Regan has extensive experience in a variety of healthcare fields but feels that she has found her niche in serving patients in the eye care field. She enjoys getting to know and educate our patients to help meet their vision needs.
	Anthony - Optician and Lab Technician Originally from Lancaster, CA, Anthony has called Las Vegas home since 1993. Eye care has been part of his profession for the last 7 years. Along with keeping our office and lab in a clean and smooth running state, Anthony's favorite part of his job is helping our patients see their best.
